Lent Lunches in Support of Christian Aid
Lent lunches started on a small scale in March 2000, growing
steadily each year to the present rota of 10 venues in and around
the Sawreys and Hawkshead. As well as raising money for Christian
Aid, the simplicity of a soup and bread lunch focuses our
thoughts on the needy people the charity supports. In this 11th
year of raising money for Christian Aid, a communal venue is
included: the Market Hall in Hawkshead. The following ladies
offer lunch in their homes:
Monday, February 22nd Mrs Denise Schofield, Near Sawrey, tel: 36354
Mrs Sylvia Saczek, Hawkshead, tel: 36779
Tuesday, March 2nd Miss Gill Fletcher, Near Sawrey, tel: 36296
Mrs Kathleen Farnworth, High Wray, tel: 33314
Wednesday, March 10th Mrs Christine Rhodes, Far Sawrey, tel: 43579
Mrs Alison Dixon, Hawkshead, tel: 36067

Friday, March 26th Mrs Carol Robson, Far Sawrey, tel: 47427
Saturday, March 27th The Market Hall, Hawkshead
